I just cannot for the life of me figure out why anyone thought it would be a good idea to follow Preacher for any length of this film, or to try to make him sympathetic.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-47942022719559557302020-07-02T16:46:41.508-05:002020-07-02T16:46:41.508-05:00I didn't hate this, though I agree that Preach...I didn't hate this, though I agree that Preacher is a lummox not worth focusing on, nor did I love it.

I'd searched for it for many years wondering why something that had for its time decent size stars (though by this time Rooney was securely on the B list) and was distributed by RKO was so obscure and hard to find. I assumed it was a rights issue and that might be but outside of Rooney's brash performance (and nomination) it has nothing to distinguish from the endless parade of war films that come down the pike.

Like The Valiant I was glad to track it down but won't ever revisit it. joel65913https://www.blogger.com/profile/14526657073681774683noreply@blogger.com
