It wants to be classy, but it puts all the effort into looking the part and jump scares rather than doing anything really interesting.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-7171477093085002492018-10-27T11:14:38.508-05:002018-10-27T11:14:38.508-05:00The reason I watched this the first time was for R...The reason I watched this the first time was for Radcliffe, just to see what he was doing now that he can essentially do anything he wants for the rest of his life. He's made some intersting choices (like Swiss Army Man). Not all of them are going to pan out, but that sort of freeing up is really interesting.

Elijah Wood is doing the same sort of thing, and he's gone to some very dark and weird places on his own.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-74248153910602688922018-10-26T22:31:50.812-05:002018-10-26T22:31:50.812-05:00My big problem with this movie is that it is dread...My big problem with this movie is that it is dreadfully slow, and not in a slow burn kind of way - just slow and all too predictable. I couldn't get with this one, at all.Dellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05634519605152190304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-4880127172704636582018-10-26T21:36:34.730-05:002018-10-26T21:36:34.730-05:00I don't know that I'd watch it again but i...I don't know that I'd watch it again but it has a great look and an unsettling atmosphere. It helps that Daniel Radcliffe is innately likable and as you say a game performer who likes to try stretching in directions you wouldn't necessarily expect him to go. That has led him to some real trash but at least he makes interesting choices and doesn't just coast along playing the same thing over and over.joel65913https://www.blogger.com/profile/14526657073681774683noreply@blogger.com
