We get resolution after resolution, and I'm not convinced that all of them are necessary. I was more or less done with it once the conviction of Northcott happened. It felt like the rest of it could have been handled with a little text on the screen, not 25 minutes of more movie.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-28929918626169084802015-08-12T23:04:41.337-05:002015-08-12T23:04:41.337-05:00I agree that the third act drags, though I don'...I agree that the third act drags, though I don't know how they could have done it differently. I suppose the whole film could have simply focused on Christine's story, so that we saw everything through her perspective. The film would have been considerably shorter!

Jolie was fantastic in this, and were the supporting cast. And you are right, this is a parent's nightmare, and the asylum part is probably everyone's nightmare. A story that is harrowing in its truthfulness. The film feels like it ends over and over.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-73930721563008006242015-08-12T19:07:36.315-05:002015-08-12T19:07:36.315-05:00I'm gonna tell your daughter you said that! :...I'm gonna tell your daughter you said that! :-)

I agree the latter part of the film drags, but I was already getting restless earlier in the movie. If I remember right it was close to 2 1/2 hours long and I felt a good 30-40 minutes could have been taken out of it.Chip Laryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00787403805554027107noreply@blogger.com
