It's more of a single that could've been stretched to a double by a more savvy baserunner.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-65438115881534578622015-10-22T11:49:53.656-05:002015-10-22T11:49:53.656-05:00I also saw The Brood this October. I totally get that it takes a long time to get to the shock horror parts, I was ok with that. The story isn't believable but I think works on an allegorical level. Apparently it was autobiographical to some extent.Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09395044055566348346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-10382465664324500312015-10-22T11:48:14.261-05:002015-10-22T11:48:14.261-05:00Right now, I agree. I've still got some Cronenberg to get through on my horror lists, but so far, this one is the one I'm least likely to watch again.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-71442992917252267202015-10-22T11:42:06.544-05:002015-10-22T11:42:06.544-05:00I just saw this a couple days ago. That roughly equates to what you said in that there's not a lot happening for much of the movie. I felt this was one of Cronenberg's lesser efforts.Chip Laryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00787403805554027107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-21451476366449760272015-10-22T10:52:08.991-05:002015-10-22T10:52:08.991-05:00Yeah, Cronenberg got a lot better. If the last 15 ...Yeah, Cronenberg got a lot better. If the last 15 minutes were in the first half hour and built from there, this would not be such a forgotten film. For the most part, it was pretty boring. The final scenes are quite a shock, but it takes forever to get there. It's also very awkward at times, and not in a good way.Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12351431577484530230noreply@blogger.com
