He's frustrating, but in my view, a completely real character, and Thornton plays him well. He pissed me off so much I wanted to see someone put a bullet between his eyes because I knew he was going to screw things up for everyone if they let him live, because he was so stupid. I'm not always sure why I really like her, but I do and I wish she'd stayed in the game. I guess once she married Danny Elfman, she was done.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-55864410280220286322016-01-17T16:16:37.213-06:002016-01-17T16:16:37.213-06:00Agreed. Bridget Fonda did some interesting work during her brief career, I don't know if she was quite the actress Aunt Jane is but I think her beauty got in the way of her doing more character work. Most of her films were negligible but when she had a chance at deeper characters such as here and in Jackie Brown she did good work.joel65913https://www.blogger.com/profile/14526657073681774683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-5961533085304638492016-01-17T11:29:20.675-06:002016-01-17T11:29:20.675-06:00There's a lot of back and forth between Raimi ...There's a lot of back and forth between Raimi and the Coens. One of the Coens was the editor on Evil Dead, and Raimi's friend Bruce Campbell has had minor roles in a lot of Coen movies. It's no surprise that this would come across as something the Coens would do. Instead of the Coens, though, it's helmed by Sam Raimi, and thanks to your praise for Raimi's direction, I'm now doubly curious to see how he handled a Coen Brothers scenario.Kevin Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01328790917314282058noreply@blogger.com
