The problem that The Game r...It's a dandy film. The problem that <i>The Game</i> really has beyond the amazing suspension of disbelief in places, is that it isn't a film that works over and over. Once you know all the moving parts, there's a lot less here to recommend it.<br /><br />Still, if it's been 20 years, you're probably due for a watch. What drew me in originally was that Carroll Baker was in it, I'll often give a film a chance if someone notable who doesn't show up often is in the cast and I've always had a soft spot for Baker, and while her role was small she was quite good. It really was about Douglas though and too a lesser extent the dynamic between he and Penn. Those two seem an odd match on paper but they worked together very well in the film.
