Certainly I find it a lot more interesting that George Eastman is presented as a likable guy who do wrong things. We as audience are asked to judge him and it is bloody difficult.
TSorensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12208153011927807857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-82850329172047465262011-11-09T08:08:02.583-06:002011-11-09T08:08:02.583-06:00I've seen a few of these, and I just picked up...I've seen a few of these, and I just picked up Cinema Paradiso from the library (again). The...That...is a damn good idea. I should do that.

There are probably 80-90 that I haven't yet rewatched but have seen at least once on the list. Both The Seven Samurai and The Princess Bride are on that list.

I don't generally need mental vacations from films I don't like as much. What I find I need a break from now and then is either a bunch of really depressing films right in a row or a bunch of really long films right in a row.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-78163703075495127982011-11-05T21:16:05.197-05:002011-11-05T21:16:05.197-05:00My apologies for posting this here. I tried posting it as a comment on your lists blog, but was unable to do so.

I've got a copy of the 1001 Movies book, but it only goes up to movies made in 2002. I've tracked the ones I've seen, which is somewhere in the 400s, but I've never made a concerted effort like you are doing.

I was going down through your list and I started seeing some movies that I have seen and I was going to give you the five I would most recommend to see next, but then I saw more and more where I realized you HAD to have seen them, just not written a review for them yet.

Have you given any thought to placing an asterisk or some other indicator that shows which unreviewed movies on this list you have already seen?

I know you plan to see them all anyway, but if you have a run of movies that you don't care for that much, it might be good to have a few that others recommend as being stellar.

I can't help but mention Seven Samurai among classic films (I just reviewed it on my blog - no spoilers) and The Princess Bride for fun films.Chiphttp://tipsfromchip.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-88309371241301002942011-11-05T16:26:56.254-05:002011-11-05T16:26:56.254-05:00It's worth seeing.
