It really is much the same story, except probably more accessible.
I really did not mid the soundtrack. It is very eighties and reminded me a lot about TV series from the period. It may be cheap but the acting was not. It is spot on.TSorensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12208153011927807857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-81368542037798445582018-09-01T20:59:53.524-05:002018-09-01T20:59:53.524-05:00It is a very odd film, but it's one that I thi...It is a very odd film, but it's one that I think I should track down again some day. It surprised me in a good way, and that doesn't happen nearly often enough. I do a little bit of research about the films so I have some idea how long they are and what they are about so I can pick a film to match my mood and whatever time slot I have.

But sometimes, I look at the titles on the list of the films I have left (I think it's down to 115 now) and I realize there are still a bunch of films that are just movie names to me.

So yesterday, I started looking at some of the 1980s films that I know nothing about and I was looking at the running times and checking the YouTube availability and I came across A Question of Silence (1982) and not only was it a mere 100 minutes, it was also free!

Plus … Dutch cinema!

I highly recommend A Question of Silence. So weird and so grainy. You have to get used to the cinematography. And the soundtrack. It looks and sounds like a low-budget thriller or horror movie from the early 1980s. (And truth to tell, it sort of IS a low-budget thriller or horror movie from the early 1980s!)

But it just all comes together and works great! For me, anyway.

And it's also kind of amusing that Christine, the housewife who won't talk, looks a lot like Eddie Izzard in Dress to Kill.Tonyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17921029597363212734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-62872295424402696222012-04-22T12:34:23.091-05:002012-04-22T12:34:23.091-05:00To each his own, I guess.
