Part of it has a great deal to do with your last paragraph. Christopher Reeve cuts a fine dashing and romantic figure....until he talks and then you have to wonder if Verena is even listening to what he's saying because it is blindingly clear that he's the wrong man for her. <br /><br />I'm sure it's possible for Vanessa Redgrave to be bad but I've never seen it and she is her usual exemplary self here surrounded by a fantastic cast (so glad to find another Nancy Marchand fan!) but it's like visiting a stately mansion, beautiful to look at but static and after a while wearying.joel65913https://www.blogger.com/profile/14526657073681774683noreply@blogger.com
