I thought about Paris is Burning, too, as an influential cult film, but decided in favor of Grey Gardens instead.Gaeta1https://www.blogger.com/profile/03713581765217201673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-65371252057519801672020-12-24T18:06:45.132-06:002020-12-24T18:06:45.132-06:00Hot Fuzz is my favorite of the Cornetto Trilogy mo...Hot Fuzz is my favorite of the Cornetto Trilogy movies. It's not perfect, but it's very much in earnest, and of all the movies is the one that is the most clearly a parody of a specific genre or subgenre.

I haven't rewatched The Hours either, but as I said, it's a movie I think about--that kind of power means something.

I adore Galaxy Quest. Everyone in the cast is perfect in the role, and it's made with such genuine love that it's impossible not to like.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-20097853879087758342020-12-24T17:43:33.898-06:002020-12-24T17:43:33.898-06:00The Court Jester is fun. Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder are so perfectly cast that anyone else in the roles is unimaginable plus they are surrounded with a cast that is pitch perfect in their reading of their roles and jump right into the spirit of the movie.

Same goes for Galaxy Quest. I had to be talked into going to see it in the theatre but was so glad I did!joel65913https://www.blogger.com/profile/14526657073681774683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-40246327380725870312020-12-24T15:52:49.942-06:002020-12-24T15:52:49.942-06:00With the exception of The Court Jester and Paris i...With the exception of The Court Jester and Paris is Burning which I haven't seen while I don't have a high opinion on The Hours, the rest I can totally go on board with.
