I remember teenage boys who watched this back when I was a kid, though. Not one of them discussed how this film was a serious tract on revenge and women's power. Much the opposite, in fact. I think that's a long-winded way of saying that I don't buy it either.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-55457676437457624472016-11-07T00:57:36.085-06:002016-11-07T00:57:36.085-06:00I have never bought the feminist argument in favou...I have never bought the feminist argument in favour of the film. I've seen it twice, once before it was banned here and once after it was un-banned (the film has a peculiar censorship history in Australia thanks to our absurd laws), and I thought it was a piece of shit both times... just that it was a watchable piece of shit second time round, cos I watched it on DVD then rather than the crappy VHS of doubtful legality I watched first. But seeing an actually adequate copy didn't suddenly reveal it as a good film or anything like that.James Rhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02458973377509956909noreply@blogger.com
