The Wilco doc just cements that even further.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-4639024583568518682016-08-15T12:06:52.712-05:002016-08-15T12:06:52.712-05:00Oh, and even more interesting--because of the even...Oh, and even more interesting--because of the events of this movie, they literally have thousands of songs they never released and put them on members' only CDs for their website. I don't quite think it was the studio wanting to make a different album than Hanson as it was the studio trying to sabotage them by not accepting any single they offered.Nickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08092564511948736386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-91690704109881219082016-08-15T12:01:48.297-05:002016-08-15T12:01:48.297-05:00Yeah, I have to admit I'm a Hanson fan now. I ...Yeah, I have to admit I'm a Hanson fan now. I wasn't really before--I had nothing against MMMBop, and it gets stuck in your head--but you're right that they are just perceived as a silly 90s boy band. But they aren't--not anymore. They're very much a blues rock type band now. And they're still around! And they still make really great songs that the radio will never play because they've essentially been blacklisted due to the events in this movie. I thought it was a fascinating story that answered the question "Hey... whatever happened to those MMMBop boys?" And in a way that was even more interesting than them just fading away.

Sorry about how you had to watch this, though. And yeah, I'll definitely check out the Wilco doc.Nickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08092564511948736386noreply@blogger.com
