Hope that makes sense.Dellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05634519605152190304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-17416943544856311792018-08-29T12:57:28.624-05:002018-08-29T12:57:28.624-05:00I appreciate your keeping me honest.I appreciate your keeping me honest.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-73564952509709628172018-08-29T11:58:16.055-05:002018-08-29T11:58:16.055-05:00Gotcha. What you ge...It's a completely fair question.

What you get with these reviews often enough is a sort of stream-of-consciousness take on where my mind goes after watching. In this case, that happened a few minutes before I went to sleep.

I did have an actual point to make here--I'll edit the text to clarify. Suffice to say that it doesn't initially feel like a trick, but in retrospect, it kind of is.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-82863274978644985982018-08-29T00:34:06.316-05:002018-08-29T00:34:06.316-05:00Sorry to put you on the spot, but I'm trying t...Sorry to put you on the spot, but I'm trying to reconcile "It’s an interesting way to tell the story and not simply a narrative trick" (2nd paragraph) with "The reversed nature of the narrative does make it more interesting in that respect, but it feels like a trick" (third-to-last paragraph). These two statements aren't absolutely mutually exclusive, as written (both affirm the story is interesting, for example), but I'm having trouble getting a feel for how gimmicky or not-gimmicky you thought the reverse narrative was. Am I missing something from the context?

I've misread things many times before, so if I'm misunderstanding you here, this won't be the first time I've gone off the rails.Kevin Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01328790917314282058noreply@blogger.com
