The only one I can positively say I hated more was I Know Where I'm Going! Both of them are wretched.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-65892570556169360712016-06-02T00:20:33.935-05:002016-06-02T00:20:33.935-05:00Had it not been for Kirk Douglas and his Doc Holli...Had it not been for Kirk Douglas and his Doc Holliday story I would have agreed with you completely. He is the shining light of an otherwise total cliché movie.
Happy to find out I was not the only one who hated that theme song.
TSorensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12208153011927807857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-25472408870457223792011-11-15T11:46:26.557-06:002011-11-15T11:46:26.557-06:00Oh, man, that theme song. For those of you who have made it this far in life without being subjected to this auditory equivalent of a dentist drill, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hid30-BWwKM

Now, imagine that as a narrative that pops up at regular intervals to sum up the last 20 minutes of what you've been watching. For Monty Python fans, it's a bit like the Dennis Moore song.

High Noon suffers a bit from the same thing, but that song only recounts the basic plot; it doesn't turn the song into a narrative. And, the song is better.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-40747640654279795682011-11-15T09:41:02.723-06:002011-11-15T09:41:02.723-06:00Steve, I saw this film a while back, and the thing...Steve, I saw this film a while back, and the thing that I remember the most is the constant playing of the silly theme song. Despite some decent acting and a solid gunfight at the end, it dates the movie in the worst way possible. Like you say, it also suffers in comparison to Tombstone and other Earp films.Dan Heatonhttp://publictransportationsnob.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
