It's Sharon though who is the film's MVP stealing scene after scene as the endearingly klutzy Freya. joel65913https://www.blogger.com/profile/14526657073681774683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-81036308758955069312021-07-15T22:44:31.738-05:002021-07-15T22:44:31.738-05:00I should probably get around to The Wrecking Crew ...I should probably get around to The Wrecking Crew one of these days.

I agree on Sharon Tate. It's so depressing, because she really could have had such a brilliant career.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-27741856645931307722021-07-15T19:41:48.612-05:002021-07-15T19:41:48.612-05:00Not being a horror guy I didn't expect to love...Not being a horror guy I didn't expect to love this and I didn't but neither did I hate it.

I watched mainly for the chance to see Sharon Tate in one of her too few substantial roles. In that respect I was pleased, although she wasn't really given much to do she still managed to be very appealing as well as being ravishing so that was a plus.

The other reason is because by and large I've liked every Polanski directed film I've seen and I was curious how he'd do with comedy. I can't say I walked away believing it was his forte but it wasn't a disaster.

But if I was ever to watch again it would be strictly for Sharon, but even for her I doubt it....there's always The Wrecking Crew which shows her to much better advantage. joel65913https://www.blogger.com/profile/14526657073681774683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-42681112401762726212021-07-15T11:00:42.918-05:002021-07-15T11:00:42.918-05:00I think this probably played a lot better in 1967....I think this probably played a lot better in 1967. Especially in the screening I went to as I saw it with a lot of middle-aged people and we laughed our asses off.

Still, I enjoyed this as something not to be taken seriously while I really did enjoy seeing Sharon Tate as I do need to see her in The Wrecking Crew. thevoid99https://www.blogger.com/profile/03055459287396592446noreply@blogger.com
