It's more about the action in general than the killing.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-40671445376632144302014-07-25T01:02:57.569-05:002014-07-25T01:02:57.569-05:00You are spot on in this review. I also read all the books of Alistair MacLean, again multiple times and was entirely into this universe. The adventure-meter is way up and the blood and gore is suitably down. I do not think I took permanent damage from it. Not too much... I think...
TSorensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12208153011927807857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-79243848072693722902014-07-24T20:28:34.475-05:002014-07-24T20:28:34.475-05:00Heh...I've already commented on it.Heh...I've already commented on it.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-52416245879355414432014-07-24T19:38:27.121-05:002014-07-24T19:38:27.121-05:00I wish we could edit our comments on blogspot inst...I wish we could edit our comments on blogspot instead of only being able to delete them.

Anyway, I forgot to mention I just did a post I think you might get a kick out of, especially considering your "fewer/less" comments a few weeks back.Chip Laryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00787403805554027107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-55280293135905854292014-07-24T19:36:59.941-05:002014-07-24T19:36:59.941-05:00I get you. Too much happens that's too pat to be true; there's too much Hollywood. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but had the rug pulled out from under me afterwards. At the beginning they show a message that this is a true story. Afterwards I learned that there's nothing remotely true about any of this - the guns, the island, even the situation. It was like The Last King of Scotland all over again for me (the main character of the doctor never existed in real life.)

I know what some people might say - who cares if it's true or not when it's entertaining. I get that argument on a logical level, but it makes me wonder why the hell put a message at the beginning that's a bald faced lie?Chip Laryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00787403805554027107noreply@blogger.com
