Love what you ...Pretty much in full agreement here. Love what you said about being willing to suspend disbelief. I'm also willing to do so, if it's worth it. But yeah, this one just isn't. Also agree that Turner was far better in other films, particularly Body Heat. But the life I have has my girls in it, and I wouldn't change anything because no matter how happy I might be in another reality, in this reality, I have my girls.

So I get it.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-68843281367719136802015-04-16T18:54:05.453-05:002015-04-16T18:54:05.453-05:00Here's what I hate about this film. And yet she seriously considers changing her life and not marrying Charlie which would, certainly, erase her kids from existence.

Any parent who would even contemplate this choice is not a character I can like.

I know it's just a movie, and not treating the time travel all that seriously, but for her not to realize that she's endangering her children's existence or consciously considering such an act pisses me off no end.
Ipecachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15157560182505626755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-55188166545010744072015-04-16T13:00:17.655-05:002015-04-16T13:00:17.655-05:00Jim Carrey is really far down on the list of peopl...Jim Carrey is really far down on the list of people in the film. It's definitely from before he was anyone, so it's interesting to see him in a role like this.

But yeah, I thought this was a big "so what?"SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-78651978954271329142015-04-16T11:44:00.486-05:002015-04-16T11:44:00.486-05:00I watched this one back when it came to video and ...I watched this one back when it came to video and I wasn't that impressed by it. I didn't dislike it, but I had a "that's it?" reaction.

I didn't realize Jim Carrey was in it. That's sort of like when many years after the first time I saw it, I watched the Dirty Harry movie The Dead Pool again and realized "Holy shit! The rocker singing Guns N' Roses' Welcome to the Jungle that dies was Jim Carrey!" And I doubled up on it because I didn't remember the song a couple years later when it became a hit, and Guns N' Roses have a cameo in the film, too.Chip Laryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00787403805554027107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-72120221716873346592015-04-16T09:00:02.867-05:002015-04-16T09:00:02.867-05:00I'm pretty sure that I'm in the minority o...I'm pretty sure that I'm in the minority on this one in general. Of BttF is better but it is better than any time travel comedy you can think of. If you do not expect too much this one is okay.
