Most of it happens in the second half of the film, considerably after we've seen a few blank-to-complete drawings with no dialogue. By the time Marianne started asserting herself, I was past caring too much.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-19745418356851731792012-05-03T18:29:50.211-05:002012-05-03T18:29:50.211-05:00I had to laugh at your title because I've seen...I had to laugh at your title because I've seen this movie described as "literally watching paint dry". I watched it several years ago primarily for Beart. I had really liked her in Manon of the Spring.

I liked this film somewhat more than you (the interplay between the artist and model each trying to gain the upper hand held my interest), but it's still not a movie I would probably recommend to anyone else because of the length and subject matter.Chip Laryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00787403805554027107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-82183245321361663682012-05-03T14:24:59.656-05:002012-05-03T14:24:59.656-05:00And it's not just that there's nothing hap...And it's not just that there's nothing happening. There'd be a way to make this interesting. After all, A Man Escaped features minutes of non-action, but it's fascinating. I'm not sure why I found this so tedious, but even seeing a picture come into shape under the artist's hand wasn't worth the time.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-21528734916751674492012-05-03T14:20:14.347-05:002012-05-03T14:20:14.347-05:00Definitely a difficult film to watch. I guarantee you I'll never watch that one. Even if I'd put it in my recorder, I'd be bound to fall asleep.Jessicahttp://www.thevelvetcafe.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
