Certainly there are differences, but there are differences between the U.S. and England, too.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3166297507174717122.post-21755025305507643752012-12-05T11:39:00.251-06:002012-12-05T11:39:00.251-06:00I found myself both engrossed and confounded by th...I found myself both engrossed and confounded by the Iranian judicial system. This film was quite educational for me, and I feel as though I got an open view of what Iranian society is like today. When I initially read about this movie in The New Yorker I was intrigued but a bit skeptical about whether I would like it. I was concerned it would lean heavily on Kiarostami (who I find exceedingly boring), but Asghar Farhadi's film is gripping. Kimberly J.M. Every time I see an Iranian film, I'm always surprised at how green it is. I had the same reaction to Through the Olive Trees and Gabbeh, too. Everyone's actions, except maybe the guy with anger-management issues, is understandable and people may admit to themselves that they might have done the same thing in that situation.Chip Laryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00787403805554027107noreply@blogger.com
